ABOUT ADRIAN HIGARES

Artist Statement

Adrian’s journey began in the late winter months of 1996. After being introduced to life, like many others, he began to soak up information from the world around him, however, nothing he took in influenced him quite as much as the writings of some amazing authors. The first book he began to read was the bible, but he quickly put that down and would not pick it up again for many years. His interest in writing started after he was introduced to some anonymous poets and obscure fiction books, which he started to copy in the early days of his craft.

After a few unsuccessful attempts at creating his own poetry and fiction books, he finally started the process of putting together a few works of literature which would be successful. The first was titled ‘A Collection of Thoughts to Think About’, which was the main source of inspiration for his philosophical writings. Next, he began to compile the written poetry into a book, then he was on to writing fiction. Writing in any form has been his greatest self-expression and he hopes that people enjoy reading his books as much as he enjoyed writing them.
