When passion, purpose, and talent collide, you get something like this. In a bold celebration of diversity, creativity, and the magic of international pop, Contagion Media teamed up with Zone A Dance Team to create a jaw-dropping dance cover of “Debut” by KATSEYE. Shot over two epic days in Downtown Phoenix and the mind-bending Imaginarium 360, this project was more than a music video — it was a creative expression by a collective group of passionate artists, and the results are nothing short of electric.

The Vision Behind the “Debut” Dance Cover

Contagion Media is an art agency on a mission to make artists more important. Collaborating with Zone A — a K-pop cover dance team based in Arizona — the team worked together to bring the viral energy of KATSEYE’s breakout single to life. Directed and filmed by KBR, and also filmed by Leslie Knox, the video features six vibrant dancers: Brazyl Guerrido, Yingying, Emilie, Haydynn, Alayna, and Abi — each bringing their own unique energy to the screen.

“We chose to do ‘Debut’ by KATSEYE because we truly admire the group and the fresh energy they’re bringing to the K-pop scene,” said Brazyl Guerrido, who’s not only a dancer in the video but also a signed artist with Contagion Media. “There’s something so powerful about seeing a group of diverse young women doing what they love… it inspired us to create something that celebrates that spirit.”

“It was such an amazing experience getting to work with Contagion Media on this MV. They were so fun to work with and made all of us feel at ease. We really hope you enjoy the finished product.”

Two Days of Dance, Dreams, and Dedication

Between rooftop views, studio lights, and surreal immersive art spaces, every shot was crafted with intention. But it wasn’t just the visuals that stood out — it was the vibe on set. Laughter, choreography tweaks, deep breaths before takes, and those little moments of encouragement that reminded everyone: this is what art is all about.

“It definitely wasn’t easy — some blood, sweat, and tears went into it,” Brazyl admitted. “But it made it all worth it in the end. It pushed us creatively and brought us closer as a team.”

Yingying added:

“They gave me tips and guidance that helped me feel a lot more confident in front of the camera, which I never thought would happen so easily.”

And Emilie, on her first ever agency experience, summed it up perfectly:

“10 out of 10 would do it again.”

Why This Project Matters

This video isn’t just a tribute to a trending K-pop hit — it is an example of what happens when a passionate art agency gives artists space to grow, express, and shine.

Alayna Welch reflected on how transformative the experience was:

“You can just tell [Contagion] has so much passion for what they do… this project gave a lot of us a boost of confidence.”

Haydynn shared the same sentiment:

“Working with Contagion Media especially was such a breath of fresh air. It was so refreshing to work with people that were so passionate and excited about the work they do.”
