Poolside Perfection: Summer Fashion with Katie Q for 6X Magazine

A bikini is elegant by itself, maybe, but what happens when a person wears it?
Featuring photographer EJ Mañon, producer KBR, and jewelry designer Savage Bliss, Contagion Media collaborated with bikini model Katie Q to bring vibrant colors and elegance to swimwear this summer. Bikinis are not just sexy, but can also be empowering. Elegance goes beyond a piece of fabric; it is all about confidence and the person wearing the design.
Worn by Katie Q, this collection features fashion designs by SewHI Bikinis, necklaces by Savage Bliss, and sunglasses by Kate Spade. “Poolside Perfection: Summer Fashion with Katie Q” is Contagion Media’s first fashion editorial highlighting EJ as lead photographer. Breaking onto the commercial photography scene, EJ was able to successfully create compelling images that showcase the expertise of the whole team.
When asked about her experience, Katie Q shares, “I had an incredible experience modeling for Enrique Javier Photography [EJ Mañon] and Contagion Media, where I truly enjoyed expressing myself and showcasing my skills. The environment was both fun and professional, thanks to the fantastic team involved.”
As a team, we intended to incorporate fun, sexy, elegant, and intriguing elements through the expression of fashion. Working with the perfect model can help elevate a dress and make the design come to life, as shown by Katie Q in this photo set. Captured at the Aloft Hotel in Glendale, AZ, the location also helped create an effortless summer atmosphere, adding to the vibe.
“It was a delightful experience to have the opportunity to work for two great local companies such as Savage Bliss and SewHi Bikinis,” shares EJ. When asked about his experience shooting as a lead photographer for this editorial, EJ adds, “I loved working with so many talented people…that experience was worth it because my skills got better and enjoy everything about the project of making an editorial shoot.”
Overall, “Poolside Perfection: Summer Fashion with Katie Q,” is a stunning example of breaking boundaries and pushing limits as a creative team to grow collectively and as individual artists.
