“Primary Colors” by Kensi Fearing for 6X Portrait & Goji Magazine

Contagion Media Art Agency, located in Phoenix, AZ, features artists of all mediums and inspires artists of all skill-levels to break artistic boundaries. In addition to offering commercial content creation, Contagion Media regularly hosts Art & Media Workshops (modeling, photography, film, etc.) to help artists reach their fullest potential. Inspired by Contagion Media’s red, blue and yellow logo, the team organized and hosted a Primary Color Editorial Workshop where photographers could learn about planning, capturing, and submitting fashion editorials to magazine publications.
The workshop was led by photographer/artist KBR and assistant EJ Manon. The Primary Color Editorial Workshop also featured models Maddie and Brittnee Campanella. With only 6 seats available, the photographers had a very hands-on experience, thoroughly learning about each process.
Multiple photographers who attended the event were published or featured for their photos from this event. Photography by Kensi Fearing was featured on the front cover, back cover, and several pages inside Vol. 16 of 6X Media’s Portrait Magazine. Kensi’s photos from the workshop were also published in Goji Magazine.

“This event changed the trajectory of my photography path. I remember seeing the post about the class and thinking “ya right, I could never get featured in a magazine”. But with some encouraging nudges from my partner, I signed up for the class. Jittery and anxious, I did not expect to enter into a room full of creative, kind, and amazing people. We would bounce ideas off of each other, geek out over each other’s captured shots, and encourage one another as the hours went on. We exchanged socials and I now have a group of AZ photographers I know I can reach out to and be inspired by.”
