Finding Beauty in Your Brows: An Interview with Treauna Long

Treauna Long, owner of Browtique Beauty Bar aims to deliver boosts of confidence through the use of eyebrow enhancement and fine line tattoos. Treauna has been in the semi-permanent makeup industry specializing in eyebrows since 2017. She was inspired after she herself was given an eyebrow enhancement treatment and fell in love with the outcome of her results. She mentioned not only loving the results of her eyebrow enhancement, but also the confidence she felt after receiving her service. From then on, Treauna was absolutely determined to bring that same sense of confidence in women who come see her. As she specifically mentions, “I was determined to get good at this because other women had to feel the boost of confidence I felt just from having my eyebrows enhanced.”

Treauna first found herself in the position of being in the semi permanent makeup business by realizing she was so much more than just her job. Wanting to leave the job she was at and looking to expand her skills, she invested in herself and worked to gain the licenses needed for her business, leading her to where she is today. As she says, “When starting a new journey, don’t expect it to be comfortable. It will be uncomfortable! It is a new experience. Get through the ups and downs, put in your best and expect to get better with every stride.”
Browtique Beauty Bar was founded in Minnesota but recently relocated its roots to Arizona. When asked to describe her brand in a brief sentence or two, Treauna responded by sharing that Browtique Beauty Bar is about “experiencing beauty through semi permanent eyebrow enhancement and permanent tiny tattoos.”

Despite only being in the brow enhancement industry for less than a decade, Treauna always knew she was meant for something more and has certainly proved she is meant to be where she is. Treauna not only created several courses to teach others about eyebrow enhancements, but she was also awarded Female Business of the Year in 2021 by the BBE of Minnesota. She credits being an example to her four children as being her biggest motivation and state that “with hard work, consistency and patience, anything you put your mind to can be done!”
When prompted to discuss who in the community Treauna is looking to work and connect with, she specifically cited Phoenix Fashion Week. “I want to provide eyebrow grooming services to models, eyebrow threading, brow tint and colored brow tint!” Moreover, Treauna touches on how she has contributed to her community by providing several ombre eyebrow enhancements free of charge to women with underlying hair loss conditions and plans on continuing to do so.

In terms of her eyebrow enhancement and courses, you should expect “a luxury experience in services provided and extremely thorough courses,” as specifically described by Treauna herself. She credits her primary audience being women ages 18-65 and men ages 18-35 who prefer a more permanent brow. A common issue that her clients have is wanting to save time doing their brows in the morning by not having to draw or fill them in. This is where her main service of micro-shading comes in. Micro-shading is described as a semi permanent eyebrow enhancement service that lasts up to three years. On top of her eyebrow services, it is important to note that Treauna also happens to be a licensed tattoo artist creating small tattoos and beauty mole marks. She is also working on revamping the courses she has already created and making additions and changes to things that are no longer working.
