ABOUT LA UNICA
Alexis Demir Maciel, also known as La Unica, was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She grew up with 9 siblings and was the fourth oldest. As a young girl she did not have a specific dream career, all she knew was art had a special place in her heart. She married her high school sweetheart at 20 years old and they have had a rewarding marriage and family together.
La Unica got into modeling because of her mom’s influence when she was young. In the beginning, Alexis was not interested in modeling because of her insecurities. The fear of not being good enough kept that door closed for her for years. She often brushed off the idea of being a creative. Once she overcame that fear, she just went for it. Pursuing modeling despite her insecurities has opened her life to many new possibilities. Now, La Unica has been a featured model for Walmart, Vigour Magazine, LOUD Magazine, and more.
