Behind the Scenes: Designing a Skateboard with Dream Visions

Contagion Media Art Agency showcases a diverse team of artists with their own unique style and artist journey. With a mission to help empower artists so they can focus on breaking artistic boundaries and connecting with their community, Contagion Media always seeks to create opportunities for artists to grow artistically.
In collaboration with Dopeness Brand, Contagion Media helped provide designers on our team with a free skateboard to use as a canvas for a painting of their choice. For this project, all the artists had complete creative freedom. Emily Darty, aka Dream Visions from Jacksonville, Florida, agreed to the challenge, and this was the amazing result!
This was Emily’s first experience painting on a skateboard. “Creating this was challenging because it really pushed my limits as an artist.,” says Emily. “I was intimidated at first. But as I progressed the piece seemed to speak to me and it happened effortlessly.” We love the unique mixture of techniques Emily decided to incorporate into this piece.
Emily had blast partnering with Contagion Media on this project and was technical on her method of curating this piece“I tried a few new techniques that ended up working out great for the final product. I am so happy I got the chance to work with Contagion Media to create this one of a kind piece of artwork that I love so much.” The outcome of the board was a creative masterpiece. Looking at the piece, you can see the the unique style always created by Dream Visions.
Emily Darty, also known as Dream Visions, has been a signed artist with Contagion Media for over 3 years.
