Singer-Songwriter Erick Grillo Releases Music Video for New Single “Quédate”

Erick Grillo, a talented musician and singer-songwriter, has burst upon the Tucson music scene with his captivating acoustic covers rooted in his Latin-Caribbean and R&B influences. Born and raised in the inner cities of Miami, Erick's music combines his personal cultural background to create a unique sound that captivates listeners.
In his latest project, Erick collaborated with the renowned art agency, Contagion Media, to bring his vision to life in a remarkable music video for his new single “Quédate,” Produced by Jebjosh and Mastered by Jon Sullivan. In this new single you will get taken on a journey of a man ready to take on a future with the one he loves and hoping they never leave. Quédate, translated into “stay with me” in English, creates the feeling of giving everything you have to that one person, which you see in the video. The video was shot at Blok Studio in Phoenix, Arizona. The studio, along with the great lighting techniques, created a warm and cozy feeling for the video and a soft and vulnerable look to the lovers in the video.
When asked about his experience working with Contagion, Erick expressed his awe at their level of professionalism and organization. He commended their ability to execute his vision, with multiple cinematographers each adding their own artistic flair to the project. Erick was particularly impressed by the team's ability to bring together various individuals, each showcasing unique strengths and contributions. “Having KBR and her team at Contagion Media be able to provide a visual representation of what this song means to me is invaluable. I feel blessed to have collaborated with these artists on this project,” says Erick Grillo. The collaboration was seamless, with excellent communication and a constant flow of positive and creative energy.
Making Quédate was an experience in itself for the whole team, turning the vision from Erick’s song into a visual reality. Every element of creating this project was incredible, creative, and fun. Model Brazyl Guerrido came in stunning and ready to show her emotions as the love interest in the Quédate music video with her exceptional talent. Brazyl’s immense natural beauty was showcased throughout the whole video. Dressed in jean shorts and Erick’s button up, you will see the comfortability between these two love interests that will make you feel the emotions their characters exude.

Jason Ryan, Director of Photography, had a great time utilizing his brilliant photography and video skills shooting, “We shot in the afternoon at a studio with windows that faced south and west. Out of all the lighting I've done in my career, I've found it's hard to beat direct sun coming through windows to light day interiors. I used the direct sunlight sometimes as a key and sometimes as a 3/4 backlight, then I brought in a bounce for fill. At one point Erick goes from standing against the wall to sliding down it and sitting on the floor, which took him out of the sunlight, so I used a couple bounces to light him in that spot. I lit the actress the same way, except I used direct sunlight as a full backlight, then bounced that light to fill her face. I put a streak filter in front of my lens, which created a blue streak when the direct sun reflected off the actress's skin. I thought it worked well along with the slow-motion to idealize her character in the music video,” shares Jason Ryan.
