Surrounded by Artistic Expression: Q&A with Model B Bailey

Oftentimes, fans are introduced to their favorite artists long into their journey, but what if you could experience the artist journey from the very beginning?
Starting his journey as a model just 1 year ago, in 2025, B Bailey (Brindyn Bailey) has dedicated many hours to learning the ropes as a model in the art & media world. Just one week before B Bailey’s official model launch signed to Contagion Media Art Agency, B Bailey took the time to share his experience as a model and working with a team.

Tell us about your background.
I come from a very artistic background, everywhere I was, I would be surrounded by artistic expression. I’m a singer and writer who does modeling as well. I have a desire to connect to people through music, writing and modeling. I’m very down to earth and relatable.
Can you tell us about your professional experience as a model?
I’ve only gotten a year of experience and this past year has been amazing. I’ve learned so much from the Contagion team and they’ve been very supportive.
You had a unique talent development experience, can you tell us what it was like being discovered as a model?
It was surreal and a lot more casual than I thought it would be. KBR randomly came into my work place and asked me if I modeled. I told KBR I haven’t and she handed me a card. I put in an application, received a test shoot and the rest is history.
Describe your creative style in a few words.
Very relaxed and intuitive. I take from personal experiences and inspiration from other people’s lives to create my art.

Who are your favorite artists and how do they inspire you?
The Weeknd-he has an amazing voice and his music is very story driven.
Frank Ocean. Like The Weeknd, Frank Ocean has an amazing voice and conveys personal experiences beautifully thru song.
Matt Maeson. He has a soulful voice that conveys pain and joy depending on the song topic.
Lucky Daye. He has a voice like velvet and is a great penman.
THEY. They have a musical vibe that’s very moody and groovy.
What has been the most difficult part of the process during model development?
Managing time and scheduling.
What was a misconception you had about modeling that you now realize is not true?
A misconception I had was that it was all about looks, if you’re pretty/handsome, you make it. In reality, it’s a lot more than that, it takes skill, technique, dedication, you have to be able to take criticism and have an open mind. I’ve learned over the past year, a lot more goes into this career than just looks.

If you had no creative or budget limits, what would be the first project you would want to work on?
That’s a tough one, I’d want to do so much. I think it’s tied between starring in a movie or creating an album.
What are your other interests/hobbies besides modeling?
Writing and singing are passions. Other than those hobbies, I enjoy reading and spending time with the people who are important to me.
What project have you been working on? How do you feel about them without revealing too many details?
I’ve been working on multiple projects with the Contagion team. I feel excited and grateful to the whole team for giving me this opportunity.
How do you look forward to connecting with the fans?
I look forward to connecting with my fans a lot. I enjoy connecting with people and giving appreciation to people who support me.
